Position Type:

  • Full Time - Day Shift

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established recipes or those specified by the Culinary Services Director.
  • Comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Modify food items to accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies.
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure proper food service temperatures.
  • Assist fellow cooks during food preparation.
  • Ensure thorough cleaning and sanitization of kitchen equipment and workspaces.
  • Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
  • Cook ingredients using various methods such as steaming, grilling, boiling, baking, or frying.
  • Inspect food and ingredients for freshness.
  • Present and garnish dishes attractively.
  • Work efficiently under pressure and within time constraints.
  • Delight our residents and guests with exceptional culinary creations.
  • Gather resident feedback and make meal suggestions to the Supervisor.
  • Foster teamwork, positivity, and joy in the workplace.
  • Schedule ensures no late-night shifts.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma / GED, or as mandated by state regulations.
  • One (1) year of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, or senior services environment.
  • Two (2) years of cooking experience in a similar setting or completion of culinary training/certification.
