Job Description

Moberly Area Community College seeks a qualified individual to fill the role of Truck Driver Training Instructor & Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering instruction in all areas of truck driver training, maintaining compliance with applicable Federal standards, and coordinating the delivery of the truck driver training program.

Responsibilities
  1. Teach students the necessary skills to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL)
  2. Coordinate the delivery of the truck driver training program, including scheduling adjuncts and developing teaching methods
  3. Recruit and advise potential students, ensuring they meet the program's requirements
  4. Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and completion dates
  5. Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and implement program changes as needed to ensure compliance
  6. Prepare and submit reports for state and federal reporting
  7. Assist in the coordination of bids and preparation of requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies
  8. Participate in meetings, training, and professional development to enhance program deliverables and instruction
Requirements
  1. a minimum of five years' occupational experience directly related to truck driving
  2. a current Class "A" CDL and a safe driving record
  3. the ability to provide instruction and establish positive working relationships with students, staff, and the public
  4. effective communication skills, both written and oral
Working Environment

The Instructor will work indoors in a normal classroom and/or outdoors or in trucks, with some exposure to noise, dust, and weather conditions. The Instructor will frequently be required to stand and walk, get in and out of trucks or other vehicles, and occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Estimated Salary

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and education.
