About the Role

SCI Shared Resources LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance of our cemetery, mausoleum, and funeral home locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the grounds, including cutting grass, trimming trees, and laying sod.
  • Clear debris and maintain drives and walkways, including snow removal as needed.
  • Erect tents, canopies, and arrange chairs for graveside ceremonies.
  • Assist with setup for interments, entombments, and inurnments.
  • Arrange the chapel for services.
  • Prepare crypts for entombments.
  • Operate a backhoe to dig graves under supervision.
  • Install grave markers, bronze memorials, and crypt faces.
  • Maintain and repair existing markers and cemetery features.
  • Maintain, service, and clean equipment.
  • Perform general maintenance on vehicles.
  • Clean and maintain the facility, including minor repairs and painting.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment.
  • Ability to accurately use measuring devices.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 150 pounds with equipment assistance.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 300 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with associates and client families.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work schedules and multi-tasking.
  • Basic computer skills.
