Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with support departments to maintain consistent production methods and practices that meet internal quality standards and customer requirements.
- Work closely with Planners/Schedulers to schedule manufacturing operations and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Analyze and establish performance standards for your focus-factory/process, communicating them effectively to the team.
- Optimize product flow, labor utilization, and material management to maximize productivity and minimize costs while achieving safety, quality, and inventory targets.
- Review and plan labor, equipment, tooling, and supply requirements to meet manufacturing throughput and productivity targets.
- Lead daily employee team meetings, solicit feedback, and remove performance obstacles to improve the work environment.
- Develop and implement effective systems for improving internal and external quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
- Document department functions and maintain accurate Time and Attendance records.
- Ensure proper scrap collection and disposal in your focus-factory/process.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality to achieve scrap, cost, and safety requirements.
- Provide effective leadership and maintain a positive work environment with customers, clients, and co-workers.
- Analyze variable labor costs and determine required staffing levels and support labor re-allocation.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, and rewarding employees.
- Coordinate the My Idea program and support cross-training to eliminate skill gaps.
- Administer policies and procedures as required.
- Support a zero-injury culture by complying with environmental safety practices and regulations.
- Conduct EH&S self-inspections and safety huddles.
- Bachelor's or Engineering degree highly preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or a related field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and develop teams to meet performance requirements.
- Blueprint reading, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Intermediate to Advanced use of MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and QAD.
- Inspection equipment skills.
- Ability to meet competing deadlines and maintain a strong mindset for continuous improvement.
- A competitive salary range of $85,300 to $127,900 USD.
- Eligibility to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan.
