The Nurse Manager (CNC) guarantees and delivers exceptional, patient-focused care and oversees all functions within the unit/department during the designated shift.
In partnership with other management team members, the CNC directs, monitors, and assesses nursing care in alignment with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to foster an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitates admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
Engages in the continuous assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other management team members.
Works with subject matter experts and other managers to cultivate a teamwork environment that promotes improved outcomes and service.
Advocates for a patient-first philosophy and participates in service recovery when necessary.Supports the facility's efforts to enhance engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
Provides recommendations regarding interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.Suggests and executes courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively superior organization.
Assists with staff scheduling. Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.Ensures proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required.
STABLE certification required.
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification required within 6 months of hire.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required.
