Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Grant Specialist to join our team at the State of Maryland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating and monitoring grant applications, as well as providing case management services to applicants in need of additional support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and monitor grant applications to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Provide case management services to applicants, including communication and coordination with stakeholders
  • Recommend grant applications to the Executive Director for approval and denial
  • Communicate with applicants regarding grant status and determinations
  • Monitor and respond to grant inquiries from applicants
Requirements
  • Five years of experience in grant evaluation and monitoring or budget preparation, presentation, and execution
  • Experience in communicating with grant applicants, including sensitive or private information
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of experience evaluating and awarding grant applications for a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
  • Experience communicating with grant applicants via email and phone
