About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to join our team at TravelNurseSource. As a CVICU RN, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to critically ill patients with a primary cardiac diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform intense monitoring of patients and care for those requiring Intra-aortic balloon pumps, external temporary pacemakers, and continuous renal replacement therapy.
  • Work closely with the Cardiac Catheterization Lab to assist in quick diagnosis and treatment of patients requiring percutaneous coronary intervention for ST elevation myocardial infarction.
  • Respond to all cardiac and respiratory arrests in the hospital, assisting with immediate treatment of these critically ill patients.
  • Provide emotional support for patients and their families, as well as educate patients and their families on how to manage post-treatment home care needs.
Requirements
  • BLS certification
  • CVICU skills and experience
  • CVICU exam certification
  • Color vision mandatory exam certification
  • Core mandatory part I certification
  • Core mandatory part II (Nursing) certification
  • Core mandatory part III certification
  • Preventing medication errors certification
  • RN pharmacology certification
