Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant II Phlebotomist to join our team at Metrowest Medical Center. This is a full-time position working evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine technical and clerical functions, including specimen registration and billing.
  • Receive and distribute laboratory specimens.
  • Perform phlebotomy duties as assigned.
  • Conduct waived testing and assist in microbiology processing and plating specimens as requested.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a phlebotomy program preferred.
  • One year of laboratory experience and/or completion of a formal phlebotomy training program required.
  • Basic laboratory computer/lab information system experience preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification where State law requires.
  • Completion of formal phlebotomy training program and/or national phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ANP, ASPT or similar preferred.
