Swank Construction is seeking a skilled CDL driver to join our team. As a CDL driver, you will be responsible for operating large company vehicles, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and tankers, to and on various construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety protocols.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of assigned vehicles, identifying and reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials on construction sites, following safe practices and using appropriate equipment when necessary.
  • Care for company machines, vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Ensure working sites are clean of unused materials and equipment is stored safely.
  • Practice safety standards in accordance with company policies and OSHA.
  • May occasionally use a computer, telephone, or handheld mobile device for extended periods.
  • Will frequently be exposed to risk of accident and unpleasant elements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Required to utilize personal protective equipment.

Requirements:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of two years of experience operating commercial vehicles in a construction environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Up-to-date DOT Medical Card required.
  • Must be in a union or willing to join a union.
