Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated School Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. This role involves working 35-40 hours per week and requires an active CCC-SLP certification along with a California License.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' communication abilities, including articulation, fluency, voice, and both expressive and receptive language skills, to identify communication disorders and determine eligibility for services.
  • Engage in collaboration with various stakeholders to share information, address concerns, and ensure compliance with established guidelines.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings for eligible students, such as testing, IEPs, and parent conferences, to present evaluation findings and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Create individualized treatment strategies and educational resources aimed at alleviating the impact of communication disorders, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Instruct students in the effective use of communication technologies, including hearing aids and augmentative communication devices.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including progress reports and treatment plans, to track student development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, including workshops and team meetings, to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Deliver speech and language therapy to students, focusing on reducing the impact of speech and language disorders on academic success.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the relevant state.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Adherence to all professional standards of practice.
  • Completion of Amergis' Competency program as required.
  • Current CPR certification, if applicable.
  • Health documentation as required by state regulations.
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
