Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shop Mechanic - Equipment Repair Specialist to join our team at CRH. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, greasing, and filter replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with engines, transmissions, and other critical components.
  • Order and manage parts and supplies, maintaining accurate records and purchase orders.
  • Operate computer systems for job functions and maintain accurate records.
  • Adjust and repair functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, and install special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Start devices to test their performance, and weld broken parts and structural members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and security procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One to two years of related experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license, and a CDL is a plus.
  • Must have knowledge of highway trucks, cement mixers, and construction equipment.
