Portable X-Ray Technologist in Dayton/Cincinnati Area

We are seeking a skilled Portable X-Ray Technologist to join our team in the Dayton/Cincinnati area. This is a part-time position that requires travel to various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and correctional institutions.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will perform mobile diagnostic imaging procedures, operate portable radiologic equipment, and interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals in a professional and courteous manner.
Key Responsibilities- Perform portable x-rays and EKG exams in a variety of settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, residential homes, and other patient locations.
- Collect and verify all required order documentation and patient information prior to procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
- Determine exposure factors based on height, weight, body part, and degree of penetration required.
- Operate portable radiologic equipment at patient's bedside or other designated exam settings.
- Process images and review them for diagnostic quality prior to transmission.
- Transmit images and associated documentation in a timely manner according to company protocols.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Meet state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist RT (R) or a state x-ray license (if applicable).
- Have a valid state-issued driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
- Able to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Able to walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment.
- Available to work a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends.
