As part of a comprehensive healthcare system, UF Health Central Florida offers a wide range of services, including advanced orthopedic surgery, stroke care, emergency services, and maternity care. We pride ourselves on utilizing cutting-edge technology while fostering strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Our facility is equipped with three catheterization labs and one electrophysiology lab. A Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) who is eager to enhance their clinical skills will find valuable experience here, as we handle numerous complex interventional and structural heart cases. Our providers are passionate about their field and are committed to sharing their knowledge with the team. We cultivate a collaborative environment where teamwork is celebrated, supported by state-of-the-art technology and medical devices. The leadership is dedicated to the success of the team and the well-being of the community.

This is a full-time position with day shifts and eligibility for a sign-on bonus.

The expected shift schedule is:

  • 7 AM - 7 PM, consisting of three 12-hour shifts, plus on-call duties (one night per week and one weekend per month, typically every third or fourth weekend).
  • On-call response required within 30 minutes.

The Cardiovascular Technologist will work under the guidance of the director/charge person, monitoring procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensuring safe patient care, and assisting as a scrub technician.


Qualifications

Education:

Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy.

Alternatively, a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience with:

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (required within 12 months of hire).

OR

Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (required within 12 months of hire).

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred).

OR

Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred).

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification.

OR

Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields).

BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Special Skills/Qualifications:

Must possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Willingness to participate in on-call duties is essential.
