Childcare Recruiters LLC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our childcare services, you will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive child screening process, developing and implementing a researched-based curriculum, and working closely with parents and the community to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young learners.
Key Responsibilities- Child Screening and Assessment: Coordinate and complete developmental screenings of all children to determine their priority for enrollment and identify any special needs.
- Curriculum Development and Implementation: Teach children in large groups, small groups, and individually, and work with the classroom team to implement the curriculum, serving as an educational leader and modeling excellent teaching practices.
- Parent and Community Engagement: Welcome parents/guardians in the program, seek out their support and involvement, and hold parent-teacher conferences throughout the year.
- Transition Support: Visit local kindergarten programs and help children and parents/guardians transition to those programs.
- IEP Meetings: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings for children with special needs as requested by parents/guardians.
- Portfolio Assessment: Maintain a comprehensive and ongoing portfolio assessment for each child, including weekly observations in each area, examples of the child's work, and a developmental assessment.
- Classroom Environment: Maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment, ensuring that classroom equipment, furniture, materials, and supplies are properly maintained and stored.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in Early Childhood Teaching, preferably in a Head Start or comparable child development program.
- Licenses and Certifications: Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) in Early Childhood Type 04.
- Competitive Salary: $34,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year.
