Role Summary

The Department of Medicine at UW Medicine is actively seeking a dedicated ARNP/PA to fulfill a full-time role within the Division of Gastroenterology. This position is designed for a Teaching Associate, contributing to a collaborative team comprising attending physicians, trainees, clinical pharmacologists, and other healthcare professionals focused on delivering exceptional care to patients with intricate gastrointestinal and liver conditions.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Provide independent and collaborative care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Engage in consultative services primarily in the outpatient arena, with potential inpatient responsibilities.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff.
Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $9,166 - $15,000 per month (equivalent to $109,992 - $180,000 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications. This range includes compensation from both the UW Physicians practice plan and the University.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  1. A graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or an accredited PA program, or an equivalent foreign qualification.
  2. Current licensure as an ARNP or PA-C in Washington State.
  3. National certification as an ARNP/PA with DEA.
  4. Demonstrated excellence in an interdisciplinary team environment.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills and clinical proficiency in managing chronic and acute gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
