About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our team at Remote. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop backend systems using Elixir and Phoenix
  • Work with our team to identify and prioritize features and improvements
  • Collaborate with our frontend team to ensure seamless integration with our React and Nextjs applications
  • Develop and maintain our Postgres database, ensuring data consistency and integrity
  • Implement and maintain our CI/CD pipeline using Gitlab
  • Work with our DevOps team to ensure our applications are hosted on AWS and deployed efficiently

  • A competitive salary range of $38,900 USD to $87,500 USD, depending on location and experience

Requirements
  • Significant experience as a Backend Engineer, with a strong background in Elixir and Postgres
  • Ability to work independently and self-guided, with a strong sense of ownership and proactivity
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn and develop, with a passion for building complex software systems
  • Experience working in async environments and with distributed teams
