Geisinger Health System Seeks Hematologist Oncologists

We are seeking board-certified/board-eligible Hematologist Oncologists to join our well-established cancer programs at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA, and other locations.

About the Role

As a Hematologist Oncologist at Geisinger, you will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality cancer care to our patients. You will be part of a physician-led organization that values innovation, excellence, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive cancer care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with surgical oncology, palliative medicine, radiation oncology, pathology, diagnostic radiology, and behavioral medicine teams to deliver multidisciplinary care
  • Participate in clinical trials and research studies to advance cancer care and treatment options
  • Teach and mentor fellows and residents in hematology and oncology
  • Contribute to the development of cancer care policies and procedures

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
  • Board certification or eligibility in hematology and oncology
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania
