Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty: Procedural Recovery - Interventional Radiology

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Days - Four 10-hour shifts per week

Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Experience: 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiography, Neuro and Vascular, ER/Critical Care; Travel experience in large hospitals is needed

License: Current RN License issued by a state nursing board, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)

Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (CPR) and ACLS as issued by the American Heart Association

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
  • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders.
  • Assist physicians in examining patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
  • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary.
  • Administer medication as prescribed.
  • Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
  • Deliver competent patient care.
  • Interact with family and patient, sharing care plans during hospitalization and at discharge.
  • Oversee treatment provided by technicians or other service providers.
  • Inform patient and family of hospital procedures.
  • Make appropriate referrals regarding patient care needs.
  • Delegate tasks to support staff.

Skillset:
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing excellent specialized care.
  • Some computer skills.

Education:
  • Required: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing from a board-approved program.
