Job Title: Computed Tomography Technologist - Travel Contract

Job Summary:
Healthcare Staffing Plus is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team for a 13-week travel contract in Providence, Rhode Island. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues using computerized tomography equipment.

Responsibilities:
Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures.
Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns.
Performs routine body, head, spine, extremity, vascular CT on a variety of CT scanners.
Uses computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
Appropriately positions patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
Performs regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
Sterilizes radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
Correctly interprets doctors' written scanning instructions.
Administers radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.

Requirements:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Completion of a fully accredited Radiology/CT Tech program
Minimum two years Computed Tomography Technologist experience
Active unencumbered RI Computed Tomography Tech state license
ARRT CT Certification

Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
