About the Role

California Weekly Explorer is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Educational Performer (Teacher / Presenter) to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for bringing history to life for students across California.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging presentations to students, utilizing a range of interactive and immersive techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school administrators to ensure a seamless and effective delivery of our educational programs.
  • Travel to various schools across California, utilizing a reliable vehicle to transport equipment and materials.
  • Manage and maintain all presentation equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and stored safely.
  • Utilize our online calendar system to stay organized and up-to-date on school information and schedules.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports, including monthly expense reports and evaluations of schools.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in teaching, performing, or a related field, with a strong background in classroom management and improvisation.
  • Excellent social, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A reliable standard-size vehicle that can accommodate all equipment, as well as a safe and secure living area for storage.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a DOJ background check.
