About the Float Pool:
The Float Pool serves as a vital supplemental staffing resource, designed to assist nursing units when staffing levels are insufficient to meet patient care demands. Opportunities are available for both full-time and part-time positions, with eligibility for participation in the clinical ladder and various committees throughout the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
As a key member of the patient care team, the RN is responsible for providing safe, age-appropriate care while serving as a resource for patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- Required: Experience in telemetry
- Minimum of 2 years of experience across multiple departments
- Professional knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; familiarity with theory and practice in a specialized field
- Active Maryland Registered Nurse License
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and ACLS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Certification in NRP for WICU, M/B L&D
- PALS Certification for ED, PACU, PEDS, PICU, & CDCR
Float Pool staff are required to adhere to a 6-week scheduling cycle, including a weekend commitment of 4 shifts, along with obligations for 3 major holidays and 2 difficult-to-staff days. Shift incentives are available once flexible obligations are met.
