Academic Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Academic Tutor to join our team at Groza Learning Center. As a tutor, you will work one-on-one with students in grades K-12, providing personalized support and guidance in various subjects, including Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual students' needs and learning styles.
• Establish clear academic goals and milestones with students and their families.
• Document and communicate progress reports to parents and guardians.
• Provide a supportive and motivating learning environment that fosters academic growth and confidence.
• Stay organized and manage multiple students' schedules and lesson plans efficiently.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (Special Education credentials are a plus).
• Minimum of 2-5 years of teaching or tutoring experience.
• Ability to work with students who learn differently, including those with ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and gifted learners.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to arrive on time for lessons.
• Proficiency with California Math and English Language Standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for teaching and learning.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Patience and empathy when working with students facing academic and personal challenges.
