As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our customers. You will work closely with our pharmacists to assist with prescription filling, patient counseling, and other pharmacy-related tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with prescription filling, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
- Verify medication accuracy and check for possible interactions.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Operate pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, and process prescriptions.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 6 months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
- PTCB certification a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
