EH&S Manager Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled EH&S Manager to join our team at nVent. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, customers, and the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement site-specific EH&S programs to ensure compliance with company policy and all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for EH&S initiatives, ensuring a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization.
  • Investigate all safety incidents and observations to determine root cause and develop programs for improvement.
  • Coach managers on best practices to promote a culture of safety awareness company-wide.
  • Lead cross-functional safety meetings to share information and drive improving performance.
  • Conduct job safety analyses and monitor all EH&S programs, including EAP, Confined Space, Haz Com, Hearing Conservation, LOTO, PPE, Bloodborne Pathogens, and driver safety.
  • Conduct all new hire and ongoing safety training for employees.
  • Maintain safety records, facility inspection records, incident files, and any associated EH&S databases.
  • Review and approve safety audits, inspections, and investigations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in EH&S management.
  • Strong leadership, communications, creative, and facilitative skills.
  • Professional certifications in EH&S management (e.g., Associate Safety Professional, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist) are highly desirable.
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR/AED or be willing to obtain.
