Expert Systems Engineer

**About the Role**

ICES is seeking an Expert Systems Engineer to join our team on a new contract impacting national security. As an Expert Systems Engineer, you will assist the Government in directing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, and scheduling across the NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Assist the Government in planning, analysis, and traceability of user requirements, architectures, and procedures to automate or improve existing systems.
* Work directly with Product Manager(s) and other PMO customers to identify new and emerging mission requirements.
* Advise the Government on proposed changes to solutions designs based on analysis of requirements and new technology.
* Assist the Government in capturing and translating mission and customer requirements into systems/capability requirements and solutions.
* Support the analysis and allocation of requirements to systems architecture components and executing programs.
* Assist the Government in performing systems integration activities.
* Support AoAs, CoAs, Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
* Assist the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.

**Requirements**

* TS/SCI Security Clearance
* Master's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or related technical or scientific fields
* Expert-level experience in government or industry in relevant work areas, including DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process, or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
* Demonstrated expert-level experience of systems engineering lifecycle
* Demonstrated experience with the use of Software Development and DevSecOps Frameworks
* Possess a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) 4 Certified Agilist certification or higher

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Expert-level experience in the field of geospatial intelligence
* Expert-level experience of MBSE, processes, tools, and languages
* Demonstrated experience of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises
* Demonstrated experience engineering solutions using structured and unstructured Big Data, AAA technologies, and Cloud-based technologies
* Demonstrated experience in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields
