We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our Infusion Pharmacy team at Barnes Healthcare Services. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Administer recurring or daily functions or processes necessary for patient care and identify opportunities for improvement or efficiencies.
- Ensure all pharmacy surfaces, laminar flow hoods, and clean room are cleaned per company policy.
- Maintain records on prescriptions and inventory, pick and pack medical supplies to fill patient orders, and prepare labels.
- Resolve problems related to prescription inquiries.
- May process insurance claims and provide detailed prescription receipts.
- Operate in compliance with all governing bodies (GABOP, DEA, ADAP, etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- State licensing required.
- PTCB National Certification strongly preferred.
- Infusion pharmacy location.
- Standing for 8+ hours per day.
