Job Overview

Position: Avionics Technician (A&P License preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

This role involves the proficient troubleshooting, repair, installation, and servicing of avionics and electrical systems on general aviation aircraft, ensuring minimal supervision is required.

  • Complete all necessary documentation, checklists, and reports in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the repair facility's operational manuals.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 2 years of experience in line maintenance or installation on General Aviation or Corporate aircraft.
  • Familiarity with systems such as pitot/static, EFIS, FMS, GPS, communication, navigation, and WiFi. Knowledge of autopilot systems is advantageous.
  • Experience in aircraft wiring and terminations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Possession of personal tools is required.
  • A strong desire to learn and develop skills.
  • A&P License is a plus.
  • Previous Repairman Certificate is a plus.
  • FCC General Radiotelephone License is a plus.
  • Understanding of aircraft component repair is essential.
  • Knowledge of avionics testing equipment is beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, walk, climb, and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces, extreme temperatures, heights above six feet, and in a noisy environment.
  • Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime and travel.
