About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Head Start Associate Teacher. As a key member of our early childhood education team, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF) and Performance Standards.
  • Build strong relationships with families and engage them in school readiness and family development goals setting and activities.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, including maintaining accurate records and adhering to state regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide high-quality care and education to children, including planning and implementing activities that promote learning and development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and families through regular updates, home visits, and conferences.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA credential or comparable credential preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to obtain Class E driver's license and maintain valid vehicle insurance.
  • Medical exam and TB assessment required prior to hire and every 5 years.
  • Background screening, including fingerprinting, required prior to hire and every 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of UKG platform, Child Plus, Creative Curriculum, DRDP, and Head Start Performance Standards.
