Pharmacist

Walgreens is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our retail pharmacy, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide exceptional patient care by offering expert advice on medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
2. Perform prescription dispensing activities, including verification and compounding, in accordance with state and federal controlled substance laws.
3. Conduct clinical and wellness services, such as immunizations, diagnostic testing, and disease state management.
4. Develop and maintain good relationships with local medical communities, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
5. Assist in events that promote the unique communities we serve.

Requirements:

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting.
