Job Summary

Guild Mortgage Company is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our Default and Bankruptcy Servicing team. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing business needs and developing solutions to drive business growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with project sponsors to document project objectives, identify stakeholders, and analyze scope
  • Elicit project requirements through interviews, document analysis, and other methods
  • Develop project requirements specifications and business rules using standard templates
  • Manage change control processes and sign off on system changes
  • Establish and implement effective testing strategies to assess final programming changes
  • Document system changes in narrative or diagram overviews, including business rules, use cases, and test scripts
  • Develop training programs and tools to increase systems knowledge and develop servicing processes, scripts, and templates for correspondence
  • Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements and quality attributes
  • Represent requirements using alternative views, such as flowcharts, diagrams, or scenarios
  • Participate in business justification and prioritization of proposed requirements
  • Identify and stay current on changes in industry regulations and recommend updates to internal policies, procedures, and systems
  • Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents and corresponding work products
  • Establish and implement effective requirements practices, including the use and continuous improvement of requirements processes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, professional certification in project management, or equivalent experience in mortgage default and bankruptcy servicing, programming/system analysis, business process, or project management
  • Three years of total relevant experience in business or mortgage banking-related roles
  • Analytical skills and ability to abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding
  • Modeling skills to represent requirements information in graphical forms
  • Experience in process improvements and business systems analysis preferred within default, bankruptcy, and REO
  • Advanced knowledge of conventional and government mortgage loan documents, including overall processes and inter-relationships, standards, and requirements
  • Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures, CFPB, FCRA, and FDCPA requirements preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively manage communication with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to interview subjects, facilitate group discussions, gather information, and report on results
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Docs, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications
  • Ability to handle aggressive deadlines, set appropriate expectations, and juggle multiple responsibilities
  • Self-motivated, with ability to work independently and lead projects with a strong attention to detail
  • Ethical, with a commitment to company values
Working Conditions

Work is primarily sedentary, with mobility in an office setting. Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse. Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish, and interpret information received visually and through audio.

Targeted Salary Range

$62,244.00 to $84,700.00 annually
