We are seeking a skilled Visionary AI Architect to join our team and contribute to delivering cutting-edge solutions for terrestrial and space-based optical systems.

This role involves designing and implementing novel algorithms at scale, working closely with scientists to optimize runtime speed of deep neural networks while retaining accuracy.

As a Visionary AI Architect, you will be responsible for optimizing both classical algorithm-based and deep-neural-network computer vision solutions for deployment on enterprise and space-based processors.

You will collaborate with scientists and researchers on projects related to image processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and computer vision, leveraging your strong programming ability and experience in parallel computing to develop robust solutions for real-world problems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing AI solutions for computer vision tasks
  • Collaborating with scientists and researchers on AI-related projects
  • Optimizing runtime speed of deep neural networks while retaining accuracy
  • Deploying machine learning models and standard algorithmic implementations at the edge for real-time inference
  • Partnering with internal and external software and hardware teams to maximize process chain performance

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong skills in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and optimization
  • Experience writing code and scripting in Python and Matlab
  • Familiarity with high-performance, data-parallel, multi-core processing

Eligibility for Top Secret Clearance is also required.

A Bachelor's degree + 4-6 years experience, Master's degree + 2-4 years experience, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field is preferred.

This position allows engineers to sit fully remote, working in small teams to add new features and improve existing software as well as creating new software from scratch.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
