Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team. This role will be integral to our operations and will report directly to the HR Business Partner.
Key Responsibilities
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will:
1. **Support HR Initiatives**: Assist in the execution of HR projects, policies, and programs, covering areas such as recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
2. **Serve as a Point of Contact**: Act as the primary contact for your designated client group, collaborating with Corporate HR and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to address local HR needs.
3. **Promote Best Practices**: Work closely with management to establish effective human resources practices that foster a positive work environment.
4. **Onboarding and Orientation**: Develop and implement onboarding processes and conduct employee orientation sessions.
5. **Advise on HR Matters**: Provide guidance on HR issues including conflict resolution, performance management, and attendance challenges, escalating complex issues to COEs as necessary.
6. **Foster Labor Relations**: Act as a resource for labor relations, promoting a collaborative workplace.
7. **Innovate HR Practices**: Implement creative human resource strategies that enhance team engagement and commitment.
8. **Support Employee Development**: Collaborate with management to facilitate employee growth through HR planning, career mapping, and coaching.
9. **Enhance Employee Engagement**: Play a crucial role in driving positive employee engagement initiatives.
10. **Coordinate Claims Management**: Oversee claims management and return-to-work processes for non-occupational injuries or illnesses.
11. **Facilitate Training**: Conduct relevant HR training for supervisors and staff, maintaining essential training records.
12. **Analyze Trends**: Assist HRBP and HR COEs in evaluating HR trends and metrics.
13. **Conduct Exit Interviews**: Carry out exit interviews for departing employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of HR experience with a focus on generalist functions.
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in a unionized environment is advantageous.
