About Us:
CUMULUS MEDIA operates a diverse range of stations in the Oklahoma City area, including popular formats such as Mainstream Rock, Rhythmic Top 40, ESPN Radio, Adult Hits, Hot Adult Hits, and Sports Talk. Our cluster of seven stations engages thousands of listeners daily, providing a vibrant platform for community connection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the control board in a radio station environment, broadcasting a mix of live and pre-recorded local and syndicated programs.
- Ensure timely playback of commercials and maintain accurate commercial and transmitter logs.
- Select and manage bumper music as needed, ensuring smooth transitions back to live programming.
- Update and monitor weather, traffic, and news reports through automation systems.
- Stay alert for EAS Alerts, Amber Alerts, and breaking news updates.
- Oversee the technical quality and accuracy of on-air programming from the master control room.
- Assist in adjusting signal and programming content to comply with federal broadcast standards.
- Some experience in college radio or small market radio is preferred.
- Prior experience in board operation is advantageous.
- Proficiency in audio production is required.
- Familiarity with FCC regulations and EAS guidelines is essential.
- Competence in using computer systems such as Microsoft Office Suite, OpX, AudioVault, Wide Orbit, ENCO, Soundgorge, Nuendo, and Adobe Audition.
- Basic knowledge of electronic wiring and sound system setup is necessary.
- Experience with audio mixers and remote monitoring systems for radio broadcasts is preferred.
- Flexibility in scheduling is required, with most hours occurring during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
