  • Constructs, maintains, and inspects Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) networks to ensure reliable voice, video, and data services for both residential and commercial clients.
  • Collaborates with various utility companies to secure permits, manage joint trench applications, and address service-related issues.
  • Conducts field assessments for proposed projects, ensuring that alternative routing options yield the most cost-effective construction designs.
  • Oversees contractor operations, acquires necessary permits and Right-of-Way agreements, and distributes essential design documents.
  • Negotiates and authorizes modifications to design or construction plans as needed.
  • Researches and evaluates project plans, gathering critical data and material requirements.
  • Coordinates with public works officials, developers, commercial clients, and utility companies on joint trench initiatives.
  • Maintains workflow databases, updates project schedules, and assists in managing revenue forecasts, material planning, and budget allocations.
  • Estimates construction expenses, formulates budgets, and monitors financial performance.
  • Validates serviceability, surveys proposed service routes, and calculates material, labor, and construction costs.
  • Initiates customer outreach, secures access or Right-of-Way agreements, and completes route designs to meet client needs.
  • Collaborates closely with design and engineering teams to determine fiber requirements.
  • May be responsible for ordering materials or coordinating with administrative staff; may also verify and reconcile invoices.
  • May conduct inspections of construction work or manage inspection assignments.
  • Confirms serviceability of addresses and communicates updates to relevant departments.
  • Upon project completion, performs necessary tasks to close out database entries, reconcile assets, and generate reports.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
  • Specialized training or certification may be required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
