Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Relief Driver to join our team at Baker Commodities, Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and timely operation of our commercial vehicles and equipment to collect, transport, and deliver our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate commercial vehicles on designated routes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collect and transport grease and other materials, adhering to environmental regulations and company standards.
  • Perform routine vehicle checks, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Record and report vehicle defects, accidents, and other incidents, following state and federal regulations.
Requirements
  • Valid Class A or B CDL and current DOT medical card.
  • At least 2 years of commercial vehicle driving experience with an acceptable MVR.
  • Ability to read and speak English, as required by Federal Motor Carrier Department regulations.
  • Knowledge of transportation and safety principles for moving goods by road.
  • Ability to work overtime and alternate schedules as needed.
Physical Demands

This role requires frequent sitting, observing, and monitoring equipment, as well as occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions and physical demands such as lifting and pushing equipment.
