Job Summary

The Retail Merchandiser will be responsible for delivering exceptional support to our customers in big box retail stores. We seek a highly motivated and self-sufficient individual who can provide outstanding support to Department, Store, and District Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a daily and weekly customer schedule to meet customer needs and expectations while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor inventory levels in stores using cycle counts and reports, and work with customer service and replenishment teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Participate in regional company training classes and events.
  • Lead and/or participate in customer events, including demonstration clinics, product knowledge classes, contractor events, weekend special events, promo events, associate training, and community outreach programs.
  • Build and install product displays and new store resets, ensuring products are safely stacked and/or properly secured.
  • Provide suggestions and share ideas with supervisors and teams to maximize shelf space.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle to travel to and from customer locations and local Oldcastle businesses as needed.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Use of basic hand and power tools.
  • Daily travel to and from company locations and/or customer locations, with some overnight travel required.

Physical/Work Environment

  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, perform repetitive motions, and work from a ladder.
  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
