POSITION SUMMARY
Join our team at Hire Talent as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. This role is pivotal in providing exceptional care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

FACILITY OVERVIEW
Our facility is recognized as a Level II Trauma Center and a Primary Stroke Center, equipped with advanced technology and a commitment to patient-centered care.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Beds: 91
Cath Lab: 2
Hybrid Cath/EP: 1

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Registered Nurse: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting.
Technician: 3-5 years of relevant experience required.

TRAVELER INFORMATION
Registered Nurse: Open to first-time travelers.
Technician: Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in a large facility.

CASE VOLUME
Average of 1-16 cases per day, varying by the day of the week.

PATIENT POPULATION
Cath Lab: Includes STEMI/NSTEMI, Angioplasty/Angiography, and various cardiac procedures.
EP: Involves Pacemakers, generator changes, and cardioversions, with EP cases occurring once a week.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS
All patients are tested prior to procedures, and staff are required to wear full PPE until test results are available.

PATIENT RATIOS
1:1 ratio for optimal patient care.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Registered Nurse: BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
Technician: Required certifications include CVT, BLS, and ACLS, with preferred certifications being RCIS and RTR.

SKILLS REQUIRED
Registered Nurse: Proficient in monitoring, circulating, administering moderate sedation, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
Technician: Skills include monitoring, scrubbing, and assisting with complex cases.

SUPPORT STRUCTURE
The unit is supported by a Manager, Supervisor, Educator, and additional staff to ensure a collaborative environment.

CHARTING SYSTEM
Familiarity with EPIC and Mac Lab systems is preferred.

ORIENTATION PROGRAM
New hires will undergo a comprehensive orientation, including training with a preceptor.

SCHEDULING DETAILS
Weekend rotations are on-call only, with a standard M-F schedule.

RESPONSE TIME
A response time of 30 minutes is required for on-call duties.
