This role requires a strong understanding of complex steel structures and the ability to analyze project specifications and blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review project plans and specifications to determine material and labor requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for steel erection projects, particularly those exceeding 1000 tons.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather relevant project information.
  • Analyze and assess risks associated with project estimates.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Participate in bid preparation and proposal submissions.
  • Track and manage estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience in steel construction.
  • Proven experience estimating complex steel structures (preferably exceeding 1000 tons).
  • Strong understanding of steel construction methods and materials.
