We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the IMCU Float Pool at Memorial Healthcare System. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care on assigned units, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on assigned units, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including patient admission, transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Develop and implement patient education plans to optimize patient outcomes and maximize available resources.
- Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel and precept student nurses and new hires.
- Two (2) years of nursing experience in the field of specialty.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, MHN Pre-Op, and Specialty Procedural areas.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification for Pediatric areas, with the exception of NICU.
- NRP certification for NICU and L&D nurses.
- Certification in Fetal Monitoring through the National Credential Center or AWOHNN (Intermediate or Advanced) for L&D RNs.
The incumbent must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The ability to lift and move patients, as well as stand for long periods, is required. The incumbent must also be able to work in a team environment, with effective communication and collaboration skills.
