Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Produce Sales Associate to join our team at Food Lion. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized produce department, and ensuring that our customers have an excellent shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience
  • Maintain a clean and organized produce department, including unloading trucks and preparing merchandise for display
  • Ensure that all produce is displayed and priced correctly, and that all sales are processed accurately
  • Work effectively with other associates to achieve sales and customer service goals
  • Stay up-to-date on new products, promotions, and sales techniques to provide excellent customer service
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including food safety and workplace safety guidelines
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
  • Ability to use technical information to solve problems
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations
Working Conditions

This position requires standing 100% of the time, frequently walking short distances, and performing repetitive hand and arm motions. The ability to tolerate working in extreme hot/cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time is also required.
