**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a District Court Clerk. As a key member of our court administration team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties related to civil, criminal, traffic, probation, and administrative proceedings.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide assistance to the public, attorneys, and law enforcement personnel
* Prepare notices of hearings and ensure proper court dates and probation appointments
* Act as scheduling coordinator among judges, prosecutors, attorneys, and police personnel
* Receive fines, costs, fees, bonds, civil escrow, and record them in a computerized cash register
* Prepare summons to jurors and pay vouchers for juror attendance
* Work with defendants on their financial status and approve payment schedules
* Assist in the preparation of reports and special projects
**Requirements**
* High school graduate or equivalent
* At least three years of full-time experience in a court system or comparable qualifications
* Knowledge of and experience in the operations, policies, and procedures of a district court
* Familiarity with current word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and Internet software
