Job Summary:
The Direct Support Professional is a vital member of our team at Superior Staffing LLC, responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral health histories. This role requires a strong commitment to facilitating healthy and socially acceptable behaviors in community-based settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Care:
- Provide supervision and support to individuals in accordance with their Person-Centered Support Plan
- Administer medication as needed
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Facilitate community integration activities and access to community supports, including medical appointments and social services
- Administrative:
- Complete required documentation in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Basic computer and internet literacy, with ability to utilize applications like email and time recording
- Prior experience in the human services field, preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Subject to employment screenings, including FBI clearance, if applicable
Working Conditions:
This role requires a flexible schedule, with shifts available on Friday and Saturday nights. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional support to individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral health histories.
