MCC is currently on the lookout for an Assembly Technician. The selected individual will play a crucial role in assembling and/or repairing products utilizing hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment. As an assembly technician, your duties will encompass interpreting engineering designs to assemble products, often collaborating with a team, and conducting quality assessments on the finished items.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Execute equipment assembly utilizing hand and power tools in accordance with engineering specifications, guidelines, and protocols.
  2. Carry out component installation, repair, inspection, reassembly, and adjustment of parts as necessary.
  3. Maintain cleanliness of all components following established cleaning protocols.
  4. Perform precision calibration and advanced adjustments using appropriate testing instruments.
  5. Conduct product and performance testing, documenting the outcomes.
  6. Implement final inspections and adjustments to identify any defects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.
  7. Develop assembly and testing procedures to enhance the production of quality goods.
  8. Keep the workspace organized, safe, and orderly.
  9. Operate heavy machinery and equipment as part of essential duties.
  10. Work with hazardous materials and in challenging environments, including heights and confined spaces.
  11. May require travel to various job sites during working hours. A valid driver's license and a driving record that complies with company policy are necessary.
  12. Maintain a constant state of alertness and adhere to safety protocols.
  13. Regular attendance and punctuality are vital for job performance.
  14. Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Exposure to diverse outdoor conditions, loud noises, dust, toxic substances, and varying fumes or odors; navigating slippery or uneven surfaces; and working in excavations.
  • Work at heights, including ladders, scaffolds, and rooftops, as well as in confined spaces beneath structures.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Capable of performing manual and repetitive tasks, including prolonged standing or walking, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying.
  • Adaptability to changing demands and priorities while completing job duties proficiently.
  • Ability to maintain focus and work safely for extended periods.

This position is classified as safety-sensitive due to the responsibilities involved, including operating a motor vehicle, handling heavy machinery, and working with hazardous materials in challenging environments. A lapse in attention could lead to serious consequences. Therefore, it is essential for the employee to maintain a constant state of alertness and focus while performing these duties.
