Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established recipes
  • Accurately measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients
  • Regulate oven temperatures, speed settings, mixing machines, and other baking apparatus
  • Ensure that food surfaces and baking equipment comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of baking equipment, utensils, and tools
  • Monitor baking items throughout the process
  • Assess ingredients and baked goods for quality
  • Order and receive necessary supplies and materials

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience as a cook, chef, baker's assistant, or in a related field
  • Availability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Physical stamina to stand for the duration of the shift
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team as well as handle individual tasks
  • Physically capable of moving throughout the shift; able to bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds or more
  • Familiarity with sanitation protocols and state health and safety regulations
