Job Summary

The Packaging Operations Specialist position at MM Packaging is responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our packaging operations.

  • Read and understand production control records to ensure accurate and timely processing.

  • Recognize and operate various scanning equipment to optimize production.
  • Load and pack products on finishing equipment to meet production demands.
  • Communicate effectively with operators and team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist operators as needed to maintain production levels and minimize downtime.
  • Perform tasks on other machines or departments while current machines are under repair.
  • Demonstrate positive and professional teamwork abilities to support the team.
  • Maintain optimum production levels and minimize downtime by adhering to safety and clearance guidelines.
  • Concentrate on loading machines and packing products properly to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the manager or lead operator.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Basic math and measurement skills to accurately process and measure products.
  • Basic ability to communicate in English to effectively interact with team members and operators.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate customer needs, including some weekends.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds to move products and equipment.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (4-8 hours) to maintain productivity and efficiency.
