Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Driver - Patient Transport to join our team at SSM Health Physical Therapy - Outpatient Division. As a Driver - Patient Transport, you will be responsible for transporting patients between facilities, ensuring their safe and comfortable journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to the scheduled route.
  • Maintain company vehicles in a clean and well-maintained condition, both interior and exterior.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist with the transport of furniture and supplies between facilities.
  • Transport patients from their homes to designated facilities for appointments.
  • Deliver interoffice mail to the appropriate facility at designated times.
  • Utilize computer skills to search for directions and location information, as well as GPS navigation.
  • Plan routes effectively to ensure timely arrivals.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Direct patient care experience required.
  • Current State Driver's License in good standing required, with the acquisition of a Class E license allowing for the operation of a bus within three months of employment.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience as a driver required.
  • Schedule flexibility is essential.
