About the Opportunity:
Summit Medical Staffing Allied is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join their team in Salinas, California.
Job Summary:
This role requires a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to perform mammograms and bone density scans under facility-approved policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will work closely with Radiologists to assist with needle localization, stereotactic biopsy, and galactogram tasks, adhering to Radiation Practice Standards, ACR, MQSA, and departmental policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality mammograms and bone density scans daily
- Assist Radiologists with needle localization, stereotactic biopsy, and galactogram procedures
- Obtain or review patient medical history and physician orders prior to performing studies
- Explain procedures to patients and complete comprehensive documentation
- Prepare completed mammograms and other studies for interpretation in a timely manner
- Participate in Quality Assurance activities related to mammography and bone density
Requirements:
- Current CRT (R) (M) and ARRT (R) registration
- BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards
- California State License Mammographic Radiologic Technologist (CRT (R) (M))
- ARRT (M) Certificate
- Initial 40 hours of training
- 25 supervised exams
- 8 hours modality training in Tomosynthesis
- 8 hours modality training in digital mammography
- Continuing education 15 CEUs in 36 months
- 200 mammograms in 24 months
- AHA BLS
- Bone Density experience preferred
