Job Summary:

Methodist Hospital South is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our Rehab Department. As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patients, set goals, and develop treatment programs to help patients achieve optimal physical function and health status.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.
Synthesize data to establish a plan of care with therapeutic interventions and goals appropriate to the patient's age and development.
Determine the efficacy of therapeutic interventions, technologies, and outcomes, and utilize PTA's, students, and support personnel as needed.
Document evaluations, treatments, plan of care, charges, and discharge summaries using professional language that supports skilled therapeutic necessity and the charges incurred in a concise and timely manner.
Supervise the daily activities of the PTA and support personnel in the provision of patient care to facilitate desired changes in patient function toward stated goals.
Interact and confer with a variety of professionals, including physicians, nurses, case management, OT's, and SLP's, to implement and assess the intervention program.

Requirements:

Bachelor's of Science or higher degree from a university in Physical Therapy.
Prefer one or more years of experience in a Physical Therapy setting, including acute, inpatient rehab, pediatrics, and outpatient settings.
Physical Therapy License issued by The Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy (ECPTOTE) Texas State Board.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
