Job Summary:

The State of Massachusetts is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst II to join our team. As a key member of our finance division, you will be responsible for providing administrative and fiscal support to our grant programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the review of grant applications to ensure compliance with grant guidelines.
  • Confer with agency personnel and outside agencies to resolve deficiencies and/or obtain documentation needed.
  • Track compliance with grant-related reporting requirements and address and identify deficiencies.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records to reflect the status of grant programs.
  • Reconcile financial documents, records, transactions, and statements to ensure conformance with established standards and grant guidelines.
  • Assist in the administration of the Department's grant programs and processing of all required reports and documents.
  • Perform related duties such as preparing documents associated with grant processes, attending staff meetings and training sessions, responding to inquiries regarding assigned agency functions; reviewing and/or approving quotes for compliance with grant guidelines; and conferring with others concerning fiscal-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time, general accounting or budgeting experience.
  • An Associate's degree with a major in accounting, finance, or business may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, finance, or business may be substituted for the required experience.
