Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse, cross-functional, and multicultural team to design safety features into Electrical Vehicle Systems across all vehicle divisions. You will play a pivotal role in advancing our product line of zero-emissions powertrains.
This position focuses on the development of high voltage power electronics, including:
- Onboard Charging
- DCDC Conversion
- AC Inverters
- Charge Inlets and Connectors
- Charge Control Functions
- Fuses and Circuit Boards
- Circuit Protection Technologies
- High Voltage Charging and Power Conversion
You will work closely with internal experts and suppliers to innovate the next generation of high voltage components that are essential for vehicle safety, charging, and power distribution to all vehicle electronics.
Development Goals:
The primary objective of this initiative is to integrate and streamline devices into a cohesive assembly that enhances performance, optimizes packaging, and reduces costs, ultimately supporting the extended range and increased adoption of commercial electric vehicles.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (required)
- A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business (preferred)
- 1-3 years of experience in automotive or aviation engineering, translating innovative ideas into prototypes through detailed design processes (required)
- 1-3 years of experience with electric vehicles or high voltage electronic components (preferred)
Skills:
You should demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams to achieve objectives and meet timelines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a proven ability to deliver technical presentations and written reports to varied audiences.
